In below scenario, we are updating an activity record in S_EVT_ACT table.

EXPORT ifb:

[Siebel Interface Manager]

USER NAME = “your-user-name”
PASSWORD = “password”
PROCESS = Export Activity             //Process name
[Export Activity]                     //Should be identical to process name specified above
TYPE = EXPORT
TABLE = EIM_ACTIVITY                // EIM table name
BATCH = 9283705                             //EIM batch number, filled in IF_ROW_BATCH_NUM column
ONLY BASE TABLES = S_EVT_ACT
EXPORT ALL ROWS = FALSE
EXPORT MATCHES = S_EVT_ACT, (ROW IN (‘1-1E5UW’,’1-4R6HD’))           //where clause to match the rows with a given condition.

— Run the update on EIM table data after export.

IMPORT ifb:

[Siebel Interface Manager]

USER NAME = “your-user-name”
PASSWORD = “password”
PROCESS = Import Activity               //Process name
[Import Activity]                                  //Should be identical to process name specified above
TYPE = IMPORT
TABLE = EIM_ACTIVITY                  // EIM table name
BATCH = 9283705                             //EIM batch number, filled in IF_ROW_BATCH_NUM column
ONLY BASE TABLES = S_EVT_ACT
//ONLY BASE COLUMNS = user key of base table + column(s) to be updated
UPDATE ROWS = TRUE
INSERT ROWS = FALSE                   // Keep this parameter as false if you don’t want your ifb file to insert any new row to base table in case your EIM table contains a row with user key which is not present in base table.
