RCR to Update Multiple Service Requests
The requirement is to search for all Service Requests of Status as “Open” and automtically set the Type to “Auto”. Moreover this update should happen automatically every morning.
Follow the below steps to implement this requirement in 2 steps:
1. In Siebel Tools, create a new workflow process based on Business Object called Service Request. Edit this workflow process and create the steps as below:
Configure Update SR step as below:
a. Set the propeties window as below:
b. Configure the Field Input Arguments tab as below:
c. Configure the Search Specification tab as below:
For reference the value is: “[Id] ='” + [&Object Id] + “‘”
2. Apply Activate this workflow from Siebel Tools. The Status will be set to Completed.
3. Launch Siebel Client and navigate to Sitemap->Administration-Server Management->Jobs.
a.Create a new record based on Workflow Process Batch Manager in the top list applet.
b. Set the Interval to run as per your requirement by setting Repeating as TRUE and define intervals such as Repeat Unit, Repeat Interval.
c. In the Job parameters applet at the bottom create 2 records as below
d. Finally submit the job. You will see Service Request updated as per the search specification set in the Job parameters level.
