Requirement:

We have a Customer Name and Account field in the Project business component. The requirement is that if the Account has been selected on the project then User should only see the contacts in the Customer Name field that are associated to the corresponding account.

Solution:

The above requirement can be implemented using child object of Pickmap called as “PickMapUpdOnlyIFNull”.

Business Component: Project
Field: Alias
Pickmap for Alias field as below:

pickmapifnull1

Configure the PickMapUpdOnlyIfNull as below for the Account Name Field:

pickmapifnull2

The trick is that if PickMapUpdOnlyIfNull is defined under a pick map with Constrain set as TRUE, then the Contrained pickmap will only be executed if the PickMapUpdOnlyIfNull field value is not null. If the PickMapUpdOnlyIfNull field value is null then the Constrained Pickmap will work as Copy Pickmap.

Happy Learning!!!

    Hi,
Here you are constraining with the Account Name but where is the Customer Name here. Why we are doing it for Alias field. Please explain the use of Alias field in this.
